SAFETY RULES
General Safety Rules:
SUPERVISION: Children must be supervised at all times
MARSHALS: Instructions from marshals must be adhered to at all times. They will be wearing hi-vis jackets and will be familiar faces to the children as staff at the school. Marshals will all have radios to communicate.
LOST CHILDREN: Children should be told to find a marshal if they are lost. Lost children will be announced via the compére.
FIRST AID: St. John's Ambulance will be on-site.
NO PETS: No pets will be allowed on-site.
EVENT PERIMETER: Attendees should stay within the event perimeter at all times.
ALCOHOL: No alcohol to be brought on-site. Alcohol can be bought at the event but please DO NOT drink and drive.
FIREWORKS / SPARKLERS: No fireworks or sparklers allowed on-site.
NO SMOKING OR VAPING: Smoking and vaping is not allowed anywhere on-site.
Laser Show and Ride Safety:
KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE: Attendees must stay behind barriers during the laser shows and rides to avoid accidents.
NO CLIMBING: Children should not climb on fencing, rides, or stages.
FOLLOW OPERATOR INSTRUCTIONS: All ride instructions by operators must be followed for safety.
EAR PROTECTION: Consider advising ear protection for young children during the laser shows or louder parts of the event.
VOLUNTEERS
A huge thank you to our event organizers: Gemma, Amy, Jenny, Taryn, Katherine, Clare, Katie and Fiona! Also to our teachers, who are generously supporting on their day off and acting as marshals! 🙌
As always, we need extra volunteers to help make the evening run smoothly.
Roles include:
- Ticket scanners upon entry (must have a smartphone and download the app)
- Raffle ticket sellers (must have a smartphone)
- Foam glow stick sellers
Rest assured, all volunteers will get to watch the laser shows with their families and enjoy the event!
